Homemade Eggless Donuts

You can be as creative as you to the choices of toppings you desire. Sprinkle with confetti, dip into chocolate sauce, spread with peanut butter etc. You can name it all. As for me plain donuts is already heavenly. Hope you're inspired to make your homemade donuts for your love ones. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

Plain Flour- 1¼ Cup (150g)
Powder Sugar- 6 Tbsp
Yeast- 1 Tsp
Milk Powder- 2 Tbsp
Butter- 3 Tbsp
Milk- ¼ + ¼ Cup
Oil- To Fry

For Filing:
Milk- 1 Cup
Custard Powder- 2 Tbsp

To decorate:
White, Milk, Dark Chocolate (Compound)
Dessicated Coconut, Sugar Confetti, Roasted Almonds, Color Sprinkles etc.

Procedure :

1. In small bowl whisk together ¼ cup hot milk, 2 tbsp sugar and yeast; mixing until well combined and let it rest for about 5 minutes.

2. In medium bowl mix together 1cup flour, 4 tbsp powdered sugar, milk powder, a pinch of salt. Set aside.

3. In large bowl add all the wet and dry ingredients together with adding warm milk and knead until dough is formed. Add butter and knead well. Gradually add all-purpose flour and knead again.

4. Form the dough into a ball. Put it into a greased bowl. Cover with cling film and let it rest for about 30 minutes. The time needed to prove the dough depends upon your room temperature.

5. When size has doubled, transfer dough onto a clean surface area. Spread some flour on the surface if the dough is too sticky to control. Roll the dough flat for about ½ inch thick. I don't have a dough cutter, so I improvised my own cutter by using small bowl and bottle cap.

6. When oil is heated, gently place donuts into the oil in medium to low flame, Cook for 1 minute on one side, and cook for the 45 seconds on the second side. Remove from oil and place on paper towel. Repeat for remaining donut.

7. For Filing- In saucepan, add milk and bring it to boil. Add sugar, vanilla essence and mix well. In bowl add custard powder, milk and mix well. Gradually add dissolved custard in milk, whisk continuously and cook until custard thickens faster. Let it cool down.

8. In piping bag, add prepared custard. To fill each donut, carefully crave a small opening in the side of each round. Forming a cavity. Or inject the custard in donuts. Fit a piping bag, fill with custard each donut round then dip into melted chocolate and Serve!!

Important Tip:
Donuts are best freshly made. However if  you'd like to make these ahead of time, once cooled store a donuts in a ziplock bag or an air-tight container and just before serving pop them in the microwave for 30 seconds. They'll be as delicious as when they'd just been made.

I hope You guys will try my recipe at the earliest possible and do let me know the genuine feedback. And most Important...
